Week 15

The Mount Mary University women's basketball team (1-3) has two games this week. First off the Blue Angels will take on the Lakeland Muskies (2-3) Wednesday. The Muskies gave the Blue Angels their first loss of the season at the Lakeland Tip-Off Tournament in November. The setting for the rematch against Lakeland is the Bloechl Center, where the Blue Angels are 1-1 and look to snap their three game losing streak.

 

To finish the week of play, the Blue Angels will host Central (Iowa) for the first time in school history. The Central (Iowa) Dutch have started off the season on a five game winning streak including wins over Grinnell, Iowa Wesleyan and most recently Fontbonne. Only one of the wins for the Dutch had a single digit point differential, with the greatest difference coming in a 76-27 win over Robert Morris University Springfield.

 

The Blue Angels will try to ignite the offense against these two high paced teams. Junior Becky Onan (Grafton, Wis.) and newcomer Brooke Uebersetzig (Fr./Greenwood, Ind.) lead the Blue Angels offense early on this season with 13.3 and 10.3 points per game respectively.
