The Mount Mary University soccer team is preparing for their first home game in over two weeks. Following a double-overtime tie against rival Finlandia University, the Blue Angels (1-3-1) seek to get back into the win column against the Red Devils (1-4). Despite the contrasting names, the two teams have similar records and have a close 3-1 all-time series record with the Blue Angels ahead.

Then the Blue Angels will head south to face two NCAA opponents out of Illinois. First off the soccer team will travel to Blackburn College to take on the Beavers (1-5). In the three times these teams have met in previous seasons, the Beavers shutout the Blue Angels in each BC win.

The soccer team will then wrap up the week against the MacMurray Highlanders (1-4). The only meeting these teams had in the past was last season, when the Highlanders won a dramatic 5-4 overtime shutout.

Three more road games are ahead for the Mount Mary University volleyball team. The Blue Angels (0-5) are coming off a loss against Faith Baptist Bible College (5-7). In the last four matches, the Blue Angels have come back to win key sets with big shots from their entire lineup. They will try to build on those sets when they head to the Windy City to play Illinois Tech (3-9). It will mark the first time in two seasons these teams have met on the court.

On Saturday the volleyball team will play two more matches when they travel to Beloit College where they will take on their yearly rivals the Buccaneers (3-9) and the Alverno Inferno (5-6). The Blue Angels have already met the Inferno to open up the season at the Reiman Gymnasium where Alverno won 3-0.

The familiar opponent Alverno will travel back to Currie Park Golf Course on Friday for the penultimate golf event of the season. The Blue Angels have finished ahead of the Inferno in each of the three meetings this season. While MMU continues to cut down their scores, the Blue Angels hope to get momentum heading into Sunday's event against Carroll University.

The Blue Angels turned in a 479 team score against the Pioneers last season, but Carroll finished with a 417 team score for the win. This season, the Pioneers first team is averaging a 353.0 four players team score at their events.
