MILWAUKEE – The Mount Mary University basketball team has a full schedule this week. The Blue Angels (2-8) have three games slated for the upcoming days, two of which will be at the Bloechl Center. MMU will host a Martin Luther King Junior Day showdown against North Central University (3-9) and then will have an assortment of activities this Sunday when they take on Andrews University (5-5).

Today's game will pit the Blue Angels against the Rams of North Central University. In the very sporadic series between the schools over the last nine seasons, the Rams lead 3-0, with NCU winning last season's affair 67-61.

This year, the Rams "live and die" by their 3-point shot. In two of their three victories this season, NCU made 11 three-point field goals and shot at least 34.0 percent from outside. Conversely, in both of MMU's victories this season, the Blue Angels were able to hold their respective opponent under 26 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

Then the Blue Angels will round out the week with a pair of games against the Andrews University Cardinals. MMU will first travel to the home court of the Cardinals, and then the teams will head back to Wisconsin for a Sunday matinee.

Last season, the Blue Angels and Cardinals split the two game series with each of the respective home teams taking the victory.

Sunday's game will have a range of festivities. Along with recognizing a local youth basketball program before the contest, the Blue Angels will host their first Guest Coach. A featured program where the Blue Angels invite a member of the Mount Mary community to join the basketball team for their pregame talk and the starting lineup introductions. Following that, the lucky guest will get to watch the game from one of the "Best Seats in the House", a courtside luxury couch. The first winner will be none other than Sr. Joan Penzenstadler.
