The Blue Angels will have to wait for the calendar to turn to December for their lone game of the week, but the wait will bring the near annual series that dates back to MMU's entry into the NCAA. Although the Lumberjills have won the last six meetings between the schools, the 2018-19 Blue Angels have started off with one of the most potent offenses in school history.

MMU is 3-2 on the season and much of that success has to do with the strong starts from multiple Blue Angels on the offensive side of the court. Erica Williams (So./Bloomington, Ill.) has recorded three double-doubles in points and rebounds among her first five games. Williams is averaging a team leading 13.4 points and 11.6 rebounds per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the field.

Teammates Rae Grubbs (Jr./Covington, Ind.) and Brooke Uebersetzig (Jr./Greenwood, Ind.) have lit things up from outside the three-point line. The pair of Blue Angels average a combined 15 points per game in three-pointers. Grubbs has twice sunk six 3-pointers in an individual game this season and averages 48.5 percent from outside.

Uebersetzig is third on the team in scoring with 8.5 points per game. The guard not only stretches the defense with her outside shooting, but also perturbs the opposition with a team leading 3.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game.

Northland begins the week officially 3-0 on the season with their most recent win coming in the Great White North against Providence University College (5-10). The Lumberjills will continue their lengthy road trip with two away games before Saturday's contest against MMU including a neutral site game at the Bloechl Center on Friday.
