MILWAUKEE – This week the Mount Mary University softball team continues their Tucson Invitational with seven more games scheduled. After playing five games this last weekend, the Blue Angels will have a brief respite today before returning to the field Tuesday morning.

The Blue Angels are 4-7 on the season and 1-4 so far in the Tucson Invitational. The Blue Angels have been working to get their bats ready for the 2019 season and on Sunday MMU posted five runs in their extra-innings win against Skidmore.
On Tuesday, the Blue Angels will open up their week against the 4-2 Bethany Lutheran Vikings then MMU will take on St. Mary's (Ind.) who sits at 0-4 on the season. The winless start to the season for the Belles is not indicative of their play on the field, although shutout against Cornell, the St. Mary's held their opponent to just two runs; Cornell defeated the Blue Angels 8-1 and 11-0 this weekend.
On Wednesday, the Blue Angels will have another day involving three games. A crop of teams the Blue Angels would rarely have the opportunity to compete against; MMU will take on teams from Iowa, Oregon and Texas.
On Friday, the Blue Angels will wrap up their stint at the 2019 Tucson Invitational with a pair of late night games against Gustavus Adolphus and a rematch against St. Scholastica. The Saints won Sunday's meeting against the Blue Angels 3-0.
