MILWAUKEE – The Blue Angels are back in action this week after the cross country, golf, soccer and volleyball teams all started their respective seasons this last weekend. Following Labor Day weekend, the Blue Angels will be packing in the home games this weekend with the first ever Blue Angel Bash along with MMU's annual Starving Artist Show on the front lawn of the campus.

Friday evening will be the first ever Blue Angels Bash, a six-team tournament in the Bloechl Center spanning over two days. The Blue Angels open up the tournament with a match again Silver Lake as MMU looks to grab their first win of the young season.
Then the Mount Mary University volleyball team will prepare for three more matches spanning over the next two days of the tournament. The Bloechl Center will be set for two volleyball matches at a time, and all students and staff with an MMU ID can circumvent the $3 entry fee. (Blue Angels Bash)
The cross country team continues their season Saturday when they head to Mequon, Wis. for the Ken Weidt Classic. The Blue Angels finished 10th as a team in last week's Tom Barry Invitational. Freshman Ellie McMeeken (West Bend, Wis.) led the pack of Blue Angels in their first race finishing with a 23:35.4 time on the five-kilometer course. (Recap)
On Saturday the Mount Mary University soccer team keep their season going when they host the Eureka Red Devils. Hannah Rose (Sr./Jeromesville, Ohio) led the Blue Angels this weekend and the American Collegiate Athletic Association in saves 37. (ACAA Leaders)
