Blue Angels 9-15-14 to 9-21-14 Preview

The Mount Mary University Volleyball team will have a myriad of games this week, all of which will be played at the Bloechl Center. Five games ahead this week, with the first coming Sept.17 at 7:00 pm against Lake Forest College (2-10).  Kuyper College out of Grand Rapids, Mich. will be the first of four teams the Blue Angels will face in the Inferno-Angel Classic which starts on Sept. 19 at 2:00 pm. MMU is slated to play the second game of their doubleheader on Sept. 19 against North Park University (2-11) starting at 6:45. Despite the (2-11) record, the Vikings have played a lot of top tier talent, including multiple Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference teams such as a 3-2 victory over Concordia University Chicago; CUC beat the Blue Angels 3-0. Day two of the Inferno-Angels Classic will feature a doubleheader for Mount Mary University; game one on Sept. 20 at 10:00 am will feature Silver Lake College Lakers. The second game of the double header will put the Blue Angels against Northland International University (3-1), out of Dunbar, Wis., that game on Sept. 20 will start at 2:45 pm.

The Mount Mary University soccer team will have a pair of games this week. The first of the two will put the (1-4) Blue Angels against the (0-0) Robert Morris University-Lake County Eagles on Sept. 17 starting at 4:00 pm. This MMU vs. Eagles match will be played at the Waukegan sports complex in Waukegan, Ill. Game  two this week for the Blue Angels will be against Lincoln Christian University who is (0-3) on the season. The game will be played in Lincoln, Ill. on Sept. 20 starting at 2:00 pm.

Blue Angels tennis will head up to Kohler, Wis. to match up against the Muskies of Lakeland College. Mount Mary University is off to a (3-1) start on the year, and against some tough opponents along the way. Lakeland is (1-4) on the year. The only common opponent has been Marian University, both LC and MMU beat the Marian University Sabres 5-4, 6-3 respectively. The game is at the Sports Core Health & Racquet Center in Kohler on Sept. 19 starting at 4:00 pm.

Cross Country will have the week to practice and rest if needed.
