NCAA Series: MMU leads 3-1
The Scarlet Hawks come into Saturday's game at 0-13. Their most recent loss was against Olivet (Mich.), where Illinois Tech fell short 94-13. After going 0-24 in 2014-15, the last win the Scarlet Hawks had was Feb. 10, 2013 when they defeated Mount Mary University 67-33.
Hailey Borowczyk leads Illinois Tech with 7.5 points per game and 24.0 3-point percentage. Teammates Venika Jarvis and Ade Maron lead the team in rebounds with 5.4 and 5.3 respectively.
Leading the Blue Angels with 13.6 points per game, 8.6 rebounds per game and a 2.9 blocks per game, Becky Onan (So./Grafton, Wis.) has been a cornerstone for the team on both ends of the court. Onan's blocks per game average has her sitting on top of the Great South Atlantic Conference, a full 1.0 blocks per game above second place.
Last year, these two teams played quite evenly in both games while the Blue Angels got the slight edge. The first game was the first Blue Angels overtime period and win in NCAA history. A complete team game that saw Becky Onan hit some pressure free throws to send it to the extra frame.
