Blue Angels Cut Scores

JANESVILLE, Wis. – The Mount Mary University golf team finished day two of the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic. The Blue Angels finished 18 th in team scoring, with St Mary's College (Ind.) held on to first place in team placement. Hunter Kehoe led day one after scoring 70, and held on to her individual title by shooting a 74 on day two.

Leading the Blue Angels again is senior Jaclyn Hoffstetter (Darien, Ill.). Hofstetter finished the invite in 87th place officially. After finishing with a team leading 102 in day one, Hofstetter led again and completed the entire 36 holes of the tourney with a combined 213 score.

Having a big turnaround from yesterday, Haley Jacquez (Sr./Oakley, Calif.) cut seven strokes off her round on the same course. Jacquez combined for a 239 on the event and placed 93rd overall. Jacquez cleared the day two with a 116.

Hayley Smalley (Sr./Columbus, Ind.) had the biggest drop off from her scorecard to day one to day two. Smalley had an incredible 17 stroke improvement over the course of the invite. Scoring a 112 on the second day of the invite gave Smalley 94th place overall and a 241 total tournament score.

Taylor Hienbuecher (So./Sycamore, Ill.) followed suit with her teammates and cut her score on the second day of the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite. Hienbuecher scored a 120 in her second round of 18 holes. Hienbuecher finished just one stroke behind teammate Smalley in overall scoring as the sophomore finished in 95 th place overall in the tournament.
