MILWAUKEE – Today at Currie Park Golf Course, the Mount Mary University golf team defeated rival Alverno College in a dual meet 446-457. Jaclyn Hoffstetter (Sr./Darien, Ill.) led individual scoring during the meet with a 102.

The rivalry meet was a difference of a mere nine strokes. The top three golfers in MMU's first home invite of the season were seperated by only three strokes. Hoffstetter again led the dual meet between these two schools like she did in September against the Inferno.

Right behind Hoffstetter on the scorecard was Haley Jacquez (Sr./Oakley, Calif.). Jacquez came through with her best round of the season today at Currie Park Golf Course as she finished second in individual scoring. Jacquez birdied the fifth hole of the round on a 163-yard par-3 on her way to a 103.

Hayley Smalley (Sr./Columbus, Ind.) continued to improve her average score this week with a 115 final score. Smalls came through during hole No. 8 with a par on a 137-yard par-3, then she finished the round on a pair of bogies on two par-4 holes.

Taylor Hienbuecher (So./Sycamore, Ill.) rounded out the scoring today in the Blue Angels final meet of the fall. Hienbuecher finished the fifth hole with a par on the 163-yard hole. She also ended the round on a pair of bogies on her way to a 126.
