Lansing, MI- Saturday saw the Mount Mary Blue Angel soccer team take on Great Lakes Christian College. The Blue Angels were coming off a shut out victory over Andrews on Friday and hoped to grab a second straight win. Unfortunately, MMU would not leave Michigan's Capital city with a victory, falling to the Crusaders by a final of 11-0.
Great Lakes started fast and never slowed down, posting eight goals in the first half. The hosting Crusaders would add three goals in the second half for the 11-0 final. Under fire all day, Brianna Brown faced 29 shots and piled up 11 saves.
Heading back home, Mount Mary (4-9) will have a week off before their next match. The Blue Angels will host Elmhurst on Sunday, October 15th. The match will begin at 3 pm, and all live coverage will be available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
