MILWAUKEE – The Mount Mary University Blue Angels lost a match each to Alverno College and Beloit College.

The first mach for the Blue Angels was another hard fought contest, but MMU couldn't seem to get, and stay on top of Beloit College. The match played out 25-13, 25-17, 25-15. Despite the scoring, the Blue Angels took the lead a number of times, but could never keep it for longer than two points. Sarah Wishau (Sr./Oak Creek, Wis.) carried on her fantastic play as she led the first match with six kills and nine digs. Libero Molly Peck (Fr./Milwaukee, Wis.) orchestrated three assists to lead MMU. Peck also added one kill and seven digs for her squad.

The second match was another tough stretch. The Blue Angels couldn't get in sync against the Inferno until the third set, losing to AC 25-12, 25-10, 25-19. Wishau kept up the top notch efforts with a team leading 10 kills and helped out with nine digs. MMU's libero, Molly Peck, once again cleaned up the court with a team leading 11 digs. Payton Hintz (Fr./Almond, Wis.) lead the Blue Angels by setting them up with 17 assists.

Jessica Wewers led the game with 13 kills, while Emily Ortner led the Inferno with 13 digs.

The Blue Angels will try to get things going on their first home contest against Lake Forrest College on Sept. 17. The Mount Mary University vs Lake Forest College match at the Bloechl Center will being at 7:00 pm.
