MILWAUKEE – The American Collegiate Athletic Association announced this year's recipients of the 2019 All-Conference Teams for volleyball. The Mount Mary University Blue Angels were well represented as four different Blue Angels earned spots on this years honored squads.

This year's 2019 All-ACAA Volleyball Team has four members of MMU Volleyball on the roster. On the All-ACAA First Team was MMU's offensive leader this season, Adrianna Nester (Sr./Anaheim, Calif.). In her final collegiate season on the court, Nester led her team in multiple categories. Nester was first on her team in digs (402), total points (268), total attacks (1096) and kills (218). She also led the conference in digs and was in the top three in the ACAA in kills. The senior was also one of two Blue Angels to play in all 99 sets for her team in 2019.

Three Blue Angels made it to this year's All-ACAA Second Team. Alessa Nelson (Sr./Rockford, Ill.) was another Blue Angel who played all 99 matches this season. Nelson was second her team in assists with 222, which was also in the top ten in the ACAA in that category. Nelson also finished second on her team in digs at 308 and third on the Blue Angels for total points at 119.

MMU's assist lead this season was Brianna Ecker (Fr./Fond du Lac, Wis.) who made this year's second team. The freshman made a big impact on her team in her first collegiate season on the court. Ecker kept her offense going with 348 assists, which was fourth overall in the ACAA. Ecker landed 165 kills in the 2019 season which was second on her team as well. The young Blue Angel also led her squad with 59 service aces this season.

Libero Megan Johnson (Jr./Waukesha, Wis.) made the All-ACAA Second team as well. Johnson came on midway through the 2019 season and was able to make an instant impact. Although missing the first eight matches, Johnson was able to steer multiple kills away from her opponent with 303 digs this season. Although she is third on her team overall in that category, Johnson leads her squad with 4.33 digs per set.
