MILWAUKEE – Turning in a stellar performance in her opportunities this last weekend, Haley Jacquez (Fr./Oakley, Calif.) has been named the next Blue Angel Spotlight Player. Jacquez made the most of her time at the plate this last weekend, when MMU (10-18) tied the program’s record for wins in a season, while she also stole multiple base hits away from her opponent as she flashed the leather during MMU’s record breaking game.

In MMU’s 9-6 win over Finlandia University (22-12), Jacquez legged out an infield single ash she tried to move her teammates into scoring position. The blazing speed from Jacquez kept the four-run inning going as the Blue Angels got their much need insurance runs.

In a weekend where the Blue Angels went 4-2, Jacquez went 3-of-5 from the plate with three RBIs, two runs, reached twice via walk and stole one base.

On the defensive end, Jacquez impressed those in attendance at the Neumann Family Softball Field when she made multiple “web-gem” type plays. In a 2-1 extra innings win for the Blue Angels, Jacquez stole a run away from the visiting North Central College Cardinals (16-16) with a super-heroine-esque grab at second base. (WATCH IT HERE)
