MILWAUKEE – Mount Mary University announced today that Lauren Harris (So./Sheridan, Ill.) is the next Blue Angels Spotlight Player of the Week. Harris helped guide her team to a 1-1 record this last week with her play all over the court.

In a 3-0 loss to Maranatha Baptist, Harris kept the Blue Angels offense alive with six kills, two errors on 18 attacks along with a service ace.

Harris backed up that early week performance with another outstanding performance against Silver Lake (7-21). For her second time of the season, Harris had double digit kills by the end of the match with 10, four errors on 26 total attacks. Harris, along with her teammate Marissa Tun (Jr./Greenfield, Wis.), each struck the opposition with eight service aces. The performance behind the stripe places Tun and Harris second on MMU’s all-time list for service aces in a single match.

Watch Blue Angels volleyball finish their season with a pair of home games this week. First MMU will face Concordia University Chicago on Fri. Oct. 28 at 6:00 pm. Then the Blue Angels will wrap up the 2016 season against Beloit on Sat. Oct. 29 beginning at 1:00 pm at the Bloechl Center. Both games will be available at mtmaryathletics.com.
