MILWAUKEE – Marissa Tun (Sr./Greenfield, Wis.) is the next Blue Angels Spotlight Player. The senior has been whatever her volleyball team needed this year as she helped her squad finish 2-18 this season.

In her final two matches, Tun and the Blue Angels traveled to Minnesota to take on Crown College and North Central University respectively. The first match of the weekend saw the Blue Angels push their opponent in every single frame of the four-set match. The Storm came away with the victory, but the Blue Angels often played with the lead throughout.

Tun was a major contributor against Crown. The senior helped with a pair of assists and 16 digs. Proving again she can help MMU in any facet, Tun also led the Blue Angels from beyond the line with three service aces.

The last match of the senior’s career was in Minneapolis, Minn. against NCU. The Blue Angels lost 3-0 to the host Rams, but Tun was again a big contributor in MMU’s backrow. In her final collegiate match, Tun tallied three assists and a team high 10 digs.

Now the 2018 season is finished, the Blue Angels will begin their off-season regimen. The Blue Angels are thankful for all the hard work from Tun and fellow senior Lauren Harris as they begin their next steps in life and their careers.
