MILWAUKEE – To begin 2016, Becky Onan (So./Grafton, Wis.) will be honored as the Blue Angels Spotlight Player of the Week for Jan. 4, 2016.

So far this season, Onan has led the Blue Angels basketball team in multiple categories. Points per game (13.7), rebounds per game (9.0), field goal percentage (40.8) and blocks per game (2.7).

Onan is in the top five in the Great South Atlantic Conference in all four of those categories and leads the GSAC in blocks per game. In fact, Onan’s leading 2.7 blocks per game is 0.8 blocks per game more than second place.

The work on the court for Onan has resulted in two double-doubles already this season, while she is very close to averaging a double-double this year in points and rebounds.

MMU Basketball and Onan will continue the 2015-16 season this Tuesday at the Bloechl Center. The Blue Angels will go up against Northland Jan. 5 with a 5:30 pm tipoff.
