Blue Angels Earn All-Academic Honors

MILWAUKEE – The American Collegiate Athletic Association announced their Fall Academic All-ACAA team and honor roll today. The Mount Mary University soccer and volleyball teams sent a combination of ten Blue Angels to the respective teams.

While the two teams had their own successes on the court and field this season, the Blue Angels continued to take care of business in the classroom. The Fall Academic All-ACAA team and honor roll consists of student-athletes who have completed at least two semesters at their given institution, in addition maintaining a high level GPA.

The Academic All-ACAA team selects those mentioned student-athletes who maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Of the 95 total members from the nine different ACAA member-institutions, nine Blue Angels were selected to the Academic All-ACAA team.

From the soccer team: Alexa Ahlgrim, Haley Jacquez, Karina Salgado, Pang Kou Xiong, Kaylie Cook and Hannah Rose. From MMU Volleyball: Alessa Nelson, Adrianna Nester and Lauren Harris.

The Academic All-ACAA honor roll selects those mentioned student-athletes who maintain a cumulative GPA between 3.25 and 3.49. This year, Lucy Pavelko represented MMU Soccer on the honor roll.

This is the first season the Blue Angels have been members of the ACAA in the sports of basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. The ACAA is comprised of nine member institutions spanning across the continental United States of America in eight different NCAA Division III sports.
