Imani Stingley tabbed to lead Mount Mary University Golf Program

Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary University athletic department has announced the appointment of Imani Stingley as new head golf coach.  The Milwaukee native brings a wealth of experience in the game of golf and the leadership of students and athletes and will begin leading the team immediately.

Stingley golfed collegiately at both Tennessee State University and local NAIA institution Cardinal Stritch University.  While in Tennessee, Stingley served as the Assistant Golf professional at Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee.

Currently, she serves a Program Manager at the Inner City Stars Foundation in Milwaukee.  Her various experiences in both leadership and golf make her particularly well suited to lead the Blue Angel golf program, "I'm excited to help introduce the women of MMU to the game of golf and to help further advance the love of the game for the women who have prior experience."   Stingley brings an enthusiasm for the position that she believes will lead to great results on and off the golf course for the program, "Coaching has always been a focal point in my life, and in my adult life I've had the unique opportunity to introduce, teach, and explore the game of golf with over 300 women and children."

Coach Stingley looks forward to sharing her experiences through golf with all of the current and future Blue Angels who will be part of the program, "Golf is special in my life, because of the opportunities it's provided me, and I hope to provide those same opportunities to every student athlete that comes through the program."

Stingley attended local Brown Deer High School, and she received her bachelor's degree from Cardinal Stritch University in 2018.

The Blue Angel golfers are scheduled to next compete on April 13th at the Concordia University Wisconsin Invitational in Mequon, Wisconsin.
