MILWAUKEE – After a standout performance against Rockford University, Mount Mary University forward Becky Onan (So./Grafton, Wis.) is now the Great South Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her play during Nov. 23-29.

In the only game for the Blue Angels, Onan finished with her second double-double of the season, the third of her collegiate career.

Onan not only ended the game against the Regents with 15 points and 13 rebounds for her double-double, but also added four blocks and three steals on the defensive end.

So far this season, the tenacity of Onan on the glass has been a big help for the Blue Angels. Her 9.4 rebounds per game coupled with 14.8 points per game this season has Onan in the top four in points per game and rebounds per game in the GSAC.

Her offensive and rebound numbers are impressive, but they pale in comparison to Onan’s GSAC leading 2.6 blocks per game.

Her overall effort has earned Onan her first GSAC Player of the Week. Now Onan and the Blue Angels will turn their focus onto the sixth-ranked University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titans.
