The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the tenth week of the 2022 softball season. Mount Mary senior Aislinn Strusz earned C2C Player of the Week accolades, Strusz is re-writing the offensive record book this season, as the Mount Mary softball team has won 8 of 9 games and set a modern era record with a six game winning streak.
The outfielder from Aurora, IL, has set a new single season record for runs batted in, and is knocking on the door for the single season records for hits, doubles and batting average.
Highlights of the week at the plate included a homerun and 3 runs batterd in the 14-2 game one win over Lawrence University. Strusz would continue to lead the Blue Angel offense in a game 2 win at Lawrence and 4 straight wins over Maranatha Baptist University.
