Lisle, IL- The Mount Mary softball team headed across the Illinois border to Benedictine University to take on the Eagles in a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Blue Angels were unable to generate much offense on the day and fell by scores of 8-0 and 12-3.

The day's second game began in a promising fashion for MMU. The Blue Angels took a 2-0 lead thanks to an rbi single from Alexandria Eads. Benedictine would rally back and take a 5-2 lead into the 3rd inning. The Eagles would add six runs in the 3rd to take an 11-2 advantage.
Mount Mary would score in the 5th on another run scoring hit single by Eads but could muster no further offense and fell by a 12-3 score in game 2. Eads and Aliana Gutierrez each had two hits for MMU in the game.
