OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – It was announced today at the association headquarters, that Becky Onan (Sr./Grafton, Wis.) is this season's first Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. Onan led the charge on both ends of the court in the Blue Angels opening week as she earns her first AD3I honors of the 2017-18 campaign. (AD3I News)
In the first game of the season, Onan picked her team up with 11 points on the offensive side of the court. The forward also provided support on the defensive end with six rebounds, two blocks and one steal in MMU's loss to Dominican on Nov. 15.
Days later, Onan doubled her efforts both figuratively and literally as she posted her first double-double of the season in MMU's loss to Edgewood College Sat. Nov. 18. Onan's efforts on offense supplied 23 points and one assist, while the pesky post-player provided her persistence on the defensive side with 12 rebounds, two assists and one block.
