WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The Mount Mary University Golf Team lost to visiting Concordia Wisconsin in a team dual 444-483 today at Currie Park Golf Course. Kayla Haen led the round with a 97 score for CUW.

Although a second place finish, the Blue Angels shaved 22 swings off their team score since the last time at Currie Park on Sept. 3. Of the many to take down their score, Jaqlyn Artman (Fr./Eldarado, Ill.) took two strokes off and finished today's 18 with a 112 round and a third place finish.

Teammate Peyton Davis (So./Tracy, Calif.) finished just six strokes behind Artman (118), but found herself in fifth place overall.  Davis tied Artman with the best nine-hole-round for MMU, with her first nine holes at a score of 56.

Madison Ledda (So./Tracy, Calif.) turned around big time in the final nine holes shooting a 58 before the turn, seven strokes under her first nine. Ledda's 123 final score was good enough for sixth place in the event.

Courtney Furlow (So./Appleton, Wis.) finished her first official collegiate round with a 130.

"The kids had a real good week of practice working on improving aspects of the short game and it showed." Mount Mary Head Golf Coach Marc Heidorf went on, "I am excited to see how we can build off today with a quick turnaround on the same course Sunday."

The Sun. Sept. 18 dual match is against Carroll with an early 9:36 AM first tee. The Blue Angels look to continue cutting away at their team score as the season progresses, and will have another chance to play at Currie Park Golf Course for Sunday's matchup.
