MILWAUKEE – Today at the Currie Park Golf Course, the Mount Mary University golf team finished second in their two team dual with visiting Concordia University Wisconsin. The Falcons ended the day with a team score of 387 to MMU's 487. Falcons Amy Carpenter and Kayla Haen tied for first place with a final score of 91.

In her third straight event, Jacqlyn Artman (So./Eldorado, Ill.) finished under the 100 mark for her 18-hole round. Artman hit some of her best holes of the season in this round, with four pars and her first birdie of the season. Artman finished in third place behind the two first place Muskies.

Haley Jacquez (So./Oakley, Calif.) cut three strokes off her front nine score of 65 to the back nine. Jacquez's 127 was seventh in individual rankings. The sophomore's best hole came on hole No. 5 when she hit a bogey on a bar three.

Courtney Furlow (Jr./Appleton, Wis.) and Kaylie Cook (Fr./Fairborn, Ohio) rounded out the Blue Angels scoring with duplicate scores of 131. As Cook continues to cut her scores down, she finished with four double bogeys all of which were on par threes.

Furlow shined in the first nine holes when she shot a 61. One of her best holes of the year, Furlow hit a par on the 163-yard par-3, hole five. Furlow also hit two a bogey in the back nine, yet again on a par three.

The Blue Angels will have a week to prepare for their next event when they host rival Alverno College. Currie Park Golf Course will play host to the third Mount Mary Invite of the season. Stats, scorecards and coverage can be found at mtmaryathletics.com.
