JANESVILLE, Wis. – Today at Riverside Golf Course, the Mount Mary University golf team finished 18 th in team scoring. The two-day UW-Whitewater Fall Classic had 18 teams in attendance. St. Mary's College (Ind.) led the team scoring after day one. Hunter Kehoe was on top of the leaderboard after the first day of play with a 70.

Jaclyn Hoffstetter (Sr./Darien, Ill.) led the Blue Angels in day one of the invite. Hoffstetter has routinely led the Blue Angels in her first official year on the collegiate circuit. Today at the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic, Hoffstetter set the pace for her Blue Angels with a 102. She finished day one in 81st place

Finishing up the opener in 92nd place, Taylor Hienbuecher (So./Sycamore, Ill.) had the second lowest score of the Blue Angels today. Hienbucher has been cutting strokes all season long, and today, sophomore finished her first 18-holes with a score of 122.

Haley Jacquez (Sr./Oakley, Calif.) was only one stroke behind Hiebuecher today at Riverside Golf Course. The one stroke difference for Jacquez also led to the senior to be within one place of her teammate Hiebuecher at 93rd.

Hayley Smalley (Sr./Columbus, Ind.) also finished around her teammates in the fall classic. Smalley has used her power to navigate her way through the links this season. Smalley chipped away at her scored from the early portion of the season and came away with a 129 in today's meet.

The Blue Angels will play throughout the weekend. Tomorrow, MMU returns to Riverside Golf Course for the invite's finale. The Blue Angels will tee off tomorrow against the 96-person field, check back to MtMaryAthletics.com for updates, news and scores.
