MILWAUKEE – Today at the Warrior Soccer Field, the Mount Mary University Soccer Team lost to host Wisconsin Lutheran College 7-0. The win gives the Warriors their first win of the season making them 1-3 while giving MMU the same season record.

The first half, the Warriors consistently attacked Blue Angel territory. WLC fired away 10 shots on goal in the half, to the Blue Angels one. Hannah Rose got her third start in goal, and kept seven of those shots away from the net.

Megan Henning had two of her shots get through for the Warriors, giving them a 3-0 lead going into the half.

To begin the final 45 minutes, the Blue Angels aimed to take more control of the ball and overall possession. MMU did just that, but the Warriors were able to get four second half goals. All of the goals coming in a 12 minute breakout beginning at the 56 minute mark. Henning setup two of those second half goals.

The Blue Angels broke away for two shots on goal in the contest, Kaeli Stellings (Fr./Beloit, Wis.) and Becky Onan (Jr./Grafton, Wis.) were responsible for the shots. Rose finished with nine total saves on the evening as her record goes to (1-2) as a collegiate starter in goal.

After tonight's game against the Warriors, MMU will host Iowa Wesleyan (0-2) Sat. Sept. 10. Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm at Mount Mary Field. The Tigers soccer team has given up 29 goals in their first two games as they stroll into Milwaukee. Live stats of Saturday's matchup will be available at mtmaryathletics.com.
