LINCOLN, Ill. – The Mount Mary University soccer team trekked to central Illinois to battle Lincoln Christian University Thursday afternoon, falling 5-0 to the host Red Lions at LCU Soccer Field.

The loss drops Mount Mary to 0-11 overall, while Lincoln Christian improved to 3-8 on the season.

Supported by the defensive effort of sophomore Nyasia Hardy (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider) and freshman Amanda Antonio (Racine, Wis./Horlick), freshman goalkeeper Angie Gomez (Milwaukee, Wis./Martin Luther) stopped seven Red Lion attacks, her third-highest save tally of the season.
