MILWAUKEE, WI – It was a battle of Milwaukee sides on the soccer pitch at Mount Mary on Tuesday. The Blue Angels hosted the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College. The Warriors struck early with a goal in the fourth minute and would not look back. WLC defeated MMU by a score of 12-0.
The WLC offensive attack was too much for the Mount Mary defense to handle. The Warriors capitalized on two one on one chances in the match's first ten minutes.
As has been the case throughout the entire season, first year goalkeeper Dylan Christensen was under fire for the duration of the match. She piled up 15 saves on the day.
Mount Mary (0-3) will play their fourth consecutive home match on Friday, September 9th at 12 pm. The Blue Angels will host the Eagles of Edgewood College.
