GRAND RAPIDS, MI- The Mount Mary soccer team traveled to West Michigan to take on the Tigers of Grace Christian University. The match was a low scoring and competitive match up, with the Tigers holding off Mount Mary by a score of 3-0.
Blue Angel goalkeeper Dylan Christensen and the MMU defense held strong against almost every Grace Christian chance. The Tigers struck once in the first half and twice in the second, and it was enough for Grace Christian to win the match.
Mount Mary had some first half chances and spent considerable time on the Grace Christian side of the field throughout the game. As has been this case throughout the season, none of the near chances for MMU found the back of the net, leaving the Blue Angels just short of victory.
Mount Mary (0-6-1) will attempt to attain their first win of the season again tomorrow, as they travel to Defiance, Ohio, to take on Defiance College. The match will begin at 11 AM CST and live links are available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
