Grace Christian claims victory over MMU

Grace Christian claims victory over MMU

Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary soccer team took on the Grace Christian Tigers in a rematch from September 24th.  Unfortunately for MMU, the score in today's match was identical to the first, as the Blue Angels fell to Grace Christian 3-0.

It seemed that soccer would be unlikely earlier in the day Wednesday, as severe weather swept through the Milwaukee area.   However, the skies cleared and sun came out for the match.  The Blue skies did not turn out to be a positive omen for Mount Mary as Grace controlled most of the match, and MMU could not build any momentum offensively.

Dylan Christensen was her usual solid self in net as she saved 24 of the 27 Grace Christian shots on goal.  The Blue Angel offense put 4 shots on net, all of which were saved by Tiger keeper, Izzy Owens-Glassford.

Mount Mary (0-11-2) has over a week off before their next match.  The Blue Angels will play a second straight match at home, on October 20th.  The Blue Angels will host the Sabercats of Maranatha Baptist University.  This will be the second meeting between the two sides, Maranatha defeated Mount Mary by a score of 5-1 on September 29th.
