Appleton,WI- Coming off of a draw against Maranatha Baptist, the Mount Mary soccer team headed to Appleton to take on the Vikings of Lawrence University. Lawrence got off to a fast start and never slowed down as they defeated Mount Mary by a score of 9-0.
Lawrence pressured the Mount Mary defense throughout the match. Dylan Christensen withstood a barrage of shots but the Vikings found the back of the net six times in the 1st half and scored 9 goals in the match.
Christensen recorded 14 saves on the day.
Offensively, MMU could not sustain much of an attack due to Lawrence's ball control and aggressive offensive approach.
MMU (0-12-3) has three matches remaining on the season, all at home. The first will be Tuesday, October 25th, against another Midwest Conference foe, Ripon College. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 pm.
