Ripon and Rain slow down Mount Mary

Ripon and Rain slow down Mount Mary

Milwaukee, WI- The Red Hawks of Ripon College traveled to Milwaukee on Tuesday to face the Mount Mary Blue Angel soccer team.  The match was largely even for the entire first half.  Ripon found the only goal of half when Kaley Kowal headed in a well placed corner kick.

In the second half, winds and heavy rain drastically affected the match.  Kaley Kowal scored her second and third goals of the match, giving Ripon a 3-0 lead, which would be the final result.

The Blue Angel defense stood strong for the entire match, the first goal was due to a perfectly placed corner and a slippery ball contributed to the match's third goal.

Sam Reyes, Lexi Behringer, and Ashton Longazel worked hard to pressure the Ripon defense but due to the conditions, offensive chances were tough to come by.

Mount Mary (0-13-3) will be home for two more matches to wrap up the season.  The first coming Friday, October 28th, at 2 pm.  The Blue Angels will host the side from Spurgeon College in Kansas, all coverage will be available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
