Blue Angels run away from Andrews for third win

Milwaukee, WI – The Andrews University Cardinals came to visit the Mount Mary Blue Angels for a Sunday afternoon soccer match, it was a good day for Mount Mary all around as the Blue Angels dominated the play and cruised to their 3rd win of the season.  Four different Blue Angels scored in the first half, and the Blue Angels knocked off Andrews by a score of 6-0.

Kelley Duffy, Lizzy Kuehl, Dylan Christensen, and Ashton Longazel each found the back of the net in half number one.  In half number two, Longazel added a second goal and had a beautiful assist on a Lexi Behringer goal.  The two second half tallies pushed Mount Mary to a 6-0 win. 

Duffy has two goals on the season, Longazel had two on the day, for Lizzy Kuehl, Lexi Behringer and Dylan Christensen the goals were the first in their MMU careers.

Mount Mary tallied 36 shots to just five for Andrews, Brianna Brown had the clean sheet in net as she saved four Andrews attempts on goal.

Mount Mary will be back in action on Monday evening, October 2nd, the Blue Angels (3-7) will head to Madison to take on Edgewood in a 7 pm match.  All coverage will be available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
