Blue Angels Ground Redhawks

MILWAUKEE – The Mount Mary College volleyball team finished its season on a high note, defeating Indiana University-Northwest in sweeping fashion, 25-20, 25-11, 25-14. With the win, the Blue Angels wrap up their season with a 13-14 record overall, narrowly missing a second straight winning season.

Despite perhaps not playing the cleanest of matches, Mount Mary jumped on the Redhawks early and often in Saturday's season finale. Using plenty of hitting and service errors on behalf of IUN—18 and 12 to be precise—Mount Mary tallied just 28 kills and 46 digs on the afternoon.

Senior setter Chelsie Beeler (Jackson, Wis.) ended her college career with a solid performance, registering 17 assists, seven digs and an errorless five kills on .455 hitting. Junior outside Stephanie Hardwick (West Allis, Wis.) led the way with a game-high 12 kills while sophomore right side Stephanie Gratz (Sussex, Wis.) recorded a game-high 11 digs.

Saturday was also Senior Day, as Beeler and Kaitlyn Dulmes (Oostburg, Wis.) were honored prior to the match.
