15 Aces Help Do In Angels

Lake Forest, IL -- Slow starts continued to plague the Mount Mary University volleyball team on Tuesday night as they dropped a 25-9, 25-17, 25-7 decision to Lake Forest College.  The Blue Angels fell to 0-4 on the season and have yet to score more than 12 points in the first set of any of their matches.

Second sets have been better for 2nd year head coach Kelsey Peterson's squad.  The young team that features 7 freshmen on its roster have been more aggressive in second sets which has led to more competitive stanzas.  Tuesday night was no exception.  Down, 0-1 in sets MMU was within 20-15 in the second before Lake Forest was able to pull away.

MMU's Sarah Wishau (JR/OAK CREEK, WI) led the Blue Angels in all statistical categories including kills (5), Blocks (3), and Digs (10).

Mount Mary continues its quest for a first win of the season in Watertown, WI on Thursday when they will face Maranatha Baptist Bible College.
