Raiders Blank Blue Angels

Milwaukee, WI -- The MSOE women's volleyball team hit .413 on the night in taking a 25-9, 25-16, 25-6 decision over Mount Mary University Monday at the Kern Center.  The game was the season opener for the Blue Angels (0-1) and the home opener for the Raiders (3-2). 

MSOE cruised in the first and third sets, opening large leads and never looking back. In the first, the Raiders jumped out to a 12-4 lead and grew it to 18-7 before an MMU timeout. They hit .353 in the set, limiting the Blue Angels to a -.625 hit percentage. 

Mount Mary took control early in the second set and led 7-4, but the Raiders responded with a 13-1 run to take over and go on to win the closest set of the night.

Sarah Wishau (JR/OAK CREEK, WI) led the Blue Angels with three kills and Andrea Roell (FR/KINGSFORD, MI) had two.

Mount Mary returns to action on Saturday, September 7th for a triangular event at Beloit College.  The Angels will take on the host Buccaneers at 11am before facing Alverno College at 1pm.
