MILWAUKEE – The Blue Angels volleyball team has seen its fair share of Raiders as of late as Mount Mary faced crosstown rival Milwaukee School of Engineering for the third time this season. Unfortunately, it was a similar result for the home team as MMU dropped a 25-13, 25-7, 25-15 decision to MSOE.

Three Blue Angels—junior Sarah Wishau (Oak Creek, Wis.) and freshmen Andrea Roell (Kingsford, Mich.) and Taylor Baumgart (Burlington, Wis.)—all tallied three kills apiece on the night.  MMU outblocked MSOE, tallying four as a team with Baumgart stuffing three Raider attacks.

Prior to Tuesday's matchup, several former Blue Angels and Crusaders were recognized for their time in Mount Mary uniform. Each former student-athlete was announced and invited to sit courtside for the match against MSOE.

The Blue Angels will resume play on the road Friday, traveling to rural Marinette County to Northland International University for an evening triangular. Mount Mary will kick off the day against visiting Northland College from Ashland, Wis., before taking on the host Pioneers in the nightcap. The Blue Angels lost to NIU at home two weeks ago in a three-game sweep.
