NCAA Era Series: Moody Bible leads 7-3
The Archers are 3-1 on the season, but coming off a loss to Rochester College 25-14, 25-18, 25-20. A member of the NCCAA, Moody Bible finished 12-12 last season with one of those wins coming against the Blue Angels. The Archers won 25-10, 25-14, 25-9 against MMU in 2014, but then freshman Payton Hintz (So./Almond, Wis.) had a big game leading her team with 16 assists.
MMU is 0-2 on the season. The last battle against Rockford showed a young team that is learning the DIII game. Losing by 13 points in the first set, the Blue Angels bounced back and took a hard fought second set 25-23. Although the Regents took the final two frames, the Blue Angels positive and collective effort throughout the contest, even though trailing, was a refreshing change from a season ago.
