Milwaukee, WI- Tuesday evening saw the Mount Mary Volleyball team host the Buccaneers of Beloit College. Mount Mary stayed close in all three sets, but could not come out victorious as they dropped the match to Beloit by scores of 25-15, 25-22, and 25-22.
Beloit came out strong in set number one, taking it by a 25-15 score. The second set was a much closer affair, but once again the Buccaneers came out on top by a score of 25-22. The Blue Angels tried to turn the tide in set three and extend the match, but they could not quite get over the hill, falling again by a 25-22 score.
Brianna Ecker paced the Blue Angels with 13 kills and she added 12 digs. Emma White had 14 assists on the night, and she also led Mount Mary in digs with 15.
Mount Mary (2-12) will not have to wait long for their next home match. They will once again take the Bloechl Center floor on Thursday, September 28th.
