Milwaukee, WI- The Norse of Luther College visited the Bloechl Center to take on the Mount Mary Volleyball team on Friday afternoon. The Blue Angels worked hard to stay in the match, but Luther took the Friday afternoon contest by scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-7.
Luther took set number one by a 25-15 score. In the second set, the Blue Angels had an early lead and battled to the finish. But they fell again to the Norse by a 25-18 score. The match's third set saw Luther continue to control the play. The Norse won set three by a score of 25-7 to clinch the match.
Statistically, Brianna Ecker recorded 7 kills, she now has 990 career kills, 10 shy of 1000. Emma White had 8 kills, 8 assists and 6 digs. Caitlyn Krell had 7 assists and 7 digs in the match against Luther.
The Blue Angels (5-16) will be back in action on their home floor on Saturday. It will be a rematch with the Sabercats of Maranatha Baptist University.
