GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Mount Mary University Blue Angels started their season off at the Tom Barry Invitational this weekend.
The Blue Angels finished 10th place at the invite, Haley Hove (So./Golden Valley, Minn.) set the pace for Mount Mary with a finishing time of 24:04.6.
Hove's teammates were right behind her as Danielle Scherrer (Jr./Milwaukee) would follow with a finishing time of 25:05.6, and Natalie Guyette (So./Shiocton, Wis.) would finish at the 26:15.5 mark for Mount Mary.
The first place finisher of the invite was Lisa Baeten (Fr./New Franken) of St. Norbert College with a finishing time of 18:42.0. It seemed the hometown Green Knights couldn't help but have the home field advantage as they would finish with five runners in the top 10.
Mount Mary looks to pick up the trail on Sept. 13th at the Falcon Invitational in Mequon, Wis. hosted by Concordia University-Wisconsin, with the meet beginning at 11 am.
