Blue Angels Run In The Falcon Invitational

MEQUON, Wis. -- Mount Mary University placed 15th at the Falcon Invitational. University Wisconsin-La Crosse finished in first place, placing all of the top five. Laura Mead (Sr./Andover, Minn.) from UW-La Crosse, would finish in first place.

The Blue Angels were one of 20 schools to begin the invite. The six kilometer race is on the scenic Concordia University Wisconsin campus. MMU would ignore the beautiful landscape and continue to improve on their times.

Haley Hove (So./Golden Valley, Minn.) was the leader of the pack for Mount Mary University again, with a finishing time of 00:29:49.4. Just a few legs behind Hove was Danielle Sherrer (Jr./Milwaukee, Wis.) with a finishing time of 00:28:42.6 and Natalie Guyette (Shiocton, Wis.) with a time of 00:29:26.1.

A solid finish for MMU finishing three of their five places with an average of under five minutes per kilometer. The Blue Angels continue to cut down their times as the difficulty of the courses increases.

MMU will head to Watertown, Wis. to run in the Maranatha Invite. Hosted by Maranatha Baptist University, and after nearly two weeks without a race, the Blue Angels will begin invite on Sept. 27 11:00 am.
