Blue Angels Eighth At Lucian Rosa Invite

KENOSHA, Wis. – Today at the Lucian Rosa Invitational on the campus of University of Wisconsin Parkside, the Mount Mary University cross country team fished seventh out of the eight teams in the main event. Wheaton College took first place in the non-Division 1 pool. Hannah Roeske took first place in individual times with 22:20.8 finish on the six-kilometer track.

Jori Galles (Sr./Waukesha, Wis.) placed 34th overall and 18th in the official team scoring. Galles' 24:44.2 finish time had her in front of the Blue Angel pack yet again. The speedy senior was traveling at an average pace of 6:38 minutes per mile throughout this year's Lucian Rosa Invitational.

Behind Galles, Christina Ishaq (Jr./Milwaukee, Wis.) finished in 30th place for team scoring, 51st overall. The junior notched a finishing time of 25:47.3. That final was a full ten seconds faster than last year's finish for Ishaq.

The remainder of the Blue Angel pack finished in the forties in team scoring. Daniela Torres (So./West Allis, Wis.) finished 42nd in team scoring with a 30:14.1 time. Miranda Fluegge (Fr./Menomonee Falls, Wis.) was mere paces behind Torres as Fluegge finished 43rd in team scoring with a 30:29.0 time.
