West Allis, WI- The Mount Mary Cross Country team competed in the Warrior Invite, an event hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday, October 1st. Seven Blue Angel runners completed the race, and as a team, MMU finished 10th of 11 women's teams that competed.
Ellie McMeeken was the highest finisher for Mount Mary, she finished in 26th place, with Jamy McClain finishing closely behind her in 39th. Jennifer Villarreal finished in the #62 spot and Alondra Arredondo 67th.
Rounding out the MMU finishes were Michelle Herrera-Carmona in 71st, Emma Eisch in 74th and Mikayla Smith in 76th.
The Blue Angels have now recorded team scores in two consecutive meets, a certain step forward for the program under first year coach Laura Sanders.
MMU will compete in another Saturday meet on October 8th, when they head to Appleton to run in the Gene Davis Invitiational, hosted by Lawrence University.
