Blue Angels drop two to Wolves in Sunday Doubleheader

Blue Angels drop two to Wolves in Sunday Doubleheader

Glendale, WI – Coming off of a nearly two-week layoff, the Mount Mary Blue Angel softball team faced a formidable task against the NAIA nationally ranked Wolves of Cardinal Stritch University.

Stritch used timely hitting, tough pitching and defense to run away with both games of the doubleheader, the Blue Angels were never able to generate any serious offense.  The Wolves took the twin bill by scores of 8-0 and 10-0. For the Blue Angels, Mary Defore reached base twice in game 1, tallying a hit and a walk.

The Blue Angels (5-14) will have two days off before embarking on a busy stretch of games.  Starting Wednesday, April 13th, at Beloit College, the Blue Angels will play doubleheaders on 3 consecutive days, and 14 games between the 13th and 23rd of April.
