Mount Mary Athletic Training & Sports Medicine
Beginning with the 2025-26 athletic season, Mount Mary University Athletics partnered with Dr. Ryan Graf and the Milwaukee Orthopedic Group Limited (MOGL) to provide medical coverage and orthopedic services for our student-athletes and Blue Angel community.
Full-time athletics staff member, Cody Tesch (athletic trainer) provides all student-athletes with evaluation, treatment, and preventative and rehabilitation services. With a close relationship with MOGL, Cody and Mount Mary Athletics is able to assist student-athletes recieve expedited orthopedic evaulation from Dr. Graf's office.
All MMU student-athletes have the opportunity for treatment year-round. Cody Tesch is also present in the Athletic Training Room (Bloechl Center, Room LCR/ATR) in advance of all Mount Mary home contests. Opposing teams can also use MMU Athletic Training resources on a first-come-first-served basis. Additionally, pregame training and rehab space in available in the ATR on the second floor of the Bloechl Center, providing an even more thorough and supportive student-athlete experience.
The Mount Mary Athletic Training Room contains amenities including a combination E-Stim & Ultrasound machine, a Hydroculator thermal heating system, foam rollers, wobble boards and therabands, among other numerous treatment tools and remedies.
Mount Mary Athletics also owns four automated external defibrillators (AEDs)—one located at the first floor gym entrance northeast, top of the staircase second floor northwest. Two are mobile AEDs and one remains in the possession of Cody Tesch and one goes with the team practicing off campus. Crutches and splintbags are also provided at home events.
Through the efforts and tools provided, Mount Mary hopes to provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all Blue Angel student-athletes, opponents, and the MMU community as a whole.
