After having their doubleheader postponed for Saturday, April 30th, at the University of Chicago, the Mount Mary softball team will take a most interesting road trip on Sunday, May 1st. The Blue Angels will play single varsity contests at two separate locations against separate opponents from Chicagoland.
At 10 am, Mount Mary will take on the Maroons of the University of Chicago. At 3:30 pm the Blue Angels will play in Elmhurst, Illinois against the Blue Jays of Elmhurst University. There will be varsity reserve contests on the back end of both doubleheaders.
This will be the first meeting of the season between Mount Mary and Chicago, however Mount Mary and Elmhurst met earlier this season, on March 4th in Peoria, Illinois, with Elmhurst pulling out a victory by a 4-3 score.
