CHICAGO – The Mount Mary University basketball team dropped its penultimate game of the season in Chicago's Gold Coast District, falling to host Moody Bible Institute 80-33.

Freshman forward Taylor Baumgart (Burlington, Wis.) led the Angels with 13 points and eight rebounds—both team-highs. Sophomore Doni Yendriga (Conneaut, Ohio) added nine points and six rebounds.

The Archers started the game hot, utilizing its overall length to disrupt anything Mount Mary could get going. A strong, high-low offense put Moody up 49-17 at the half as it would tally 18 offensive rebounds in Tuesday's game.

MMU's struggles continued after halftime, going 0-for-15 to start the second half. A free-throw by Baumgart at the 12:08 mark finally notched Mount Mary's first point of the half, and a Baumgart jumper at 7:40 marked the first made field goal for the Angels in the second half.

The Angels made use of its trips to the free throw line, scoring half its points by going 8-for-14 in the second stanza alone.

Mount Mary will finish up its season Thursday at the Bloechl Center, hosting Association of Division III Independent rival Maranatha Baptist University in a 6:00 p.m. matchup.
