Milwaukee,WI- Mount Mary took the floor Saturday hoping to find it's first win of the young season. However, foul trouble and cold shooting slowed down the Blue Angels who fell behind and could not mount a run against the Wolfpack of Oak Hills Christian. MMU dropped the contest by a score of 70-51.
Mount Mary scored off of the game's opening tip on a lay up by Talesa Campbell, but there would not be much to celebrate beyond that point. Oak Hills slowed down the MMU offense with a delay press, and controlled the glass as well, a consistent problem for MMU in the early season.
For a third straight game, Skye Giddings was the leading scorer for the Blue Angels with 16 points, Deja Rivers scored 10, Talesa Campbell and Alexus Hatcher each added 9. And Brandi Mathias chipped in with 7 points.
Mount Mary (0-3) will hit the road for the first time next week, as they head to Rockford University for a game on Tuesday, November 15th. The game will tip at 7 pm and live links will be available on www.mtmaryathletics.com
